So, the clever people of SixApart bring us a new blogging service, eh?
Given that - and given what I saw of Vox's features when browsing
Adam's Vox - I was keen to get aboard the bandwagon, and thanks to an invite from Adam, here I am.
The dilemma: I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with this platform. :)
I've
been pondering a few blog ideas for a while now; one would be a
pop-culture blog (specifically, movies/TV/books/music, rather than the
celeb gossip that such sites typically devolve into - nothing wrong
with a good dose of celeb gossip, but it's ably covered by plenty of
clever people with a lot more free time than me), one's a recipe blog,
and one is an MMORPG punditry blog. However, Vox has a bunch of very
useful personal-blogging integrated features - such as sharing music,
photos, and the like, plus integration with Flickr and Photobucket,
moblogging, et cetera - that would potentially be wasted on a blog with
a limited focus.
So, watch this space - I'll definitely be making use of Vox, but I haven't yet decided how.
